4 mile: 28:10 (2005)

10K: 43:33 (2010)

10 mile: 1:13:35 (2009) (1:12:15 split in 1/2 marathon, 2011)

1/2 marathon: 1:34:31 (2011)

marathon: 3:19:15 (2013)

Short-Term Running Goals:

3:20 marathon - Eugene Marathon, April 28, 2013 (can I say I really want a sub 3:20? but I will be happy with 3:20-3:23) -- whoohoo!

Some good intermediate races 15K - 1/2 marathon, to gauge my fitness level (done this, hit a 1:34:35 1/2 marathon in March 2013, on a hilly course)

Going after my 10 mile PR in Fall 2013

Maybe some good 10K races after the infernal Arizona summer is over!

Long-Term Running Goals:

I want to be one of those runners who is still running in their 80s (or 90s?).  You know the ones, who look all grisley and fit?  That is what I would like!  Until then, I just want to work hard and be as fast as I can, for as long as I can.

1:20:18.  Ran with my friend Merry and another teammate of Merry's. Both of these woman are much faster runners than me (Merry just ran a 3:18 marathon - and she is 55; Melissa is a 36 min 10K'er).  I made them promise if I ran with them it would be a recovery run -- there were a few times they just took off from me (I just ran the same as I always do), and then they would realize I wasn't there and slow down ;-).  It was nice.  There is a 10K race coming up and we ran that course (it is brutally hilly, I mean truly about a 1` to 1:30 time cost course, I am glad I am not trying to race it) and then added on.  I was going to put 8.5 down (since I usually round down), but I need to get over my phobia about not having round numbers in my mileage ;-) -- since Merry had a garmin I am writing what it said -- I hope the .7 makes through the day without me logging back on and rounding it to 8.5 ;-).

Happy Friday bloggers, I am so glad the week is almost over!

I find if my weekly mileage is a round number, I'm much happier. So I try to make it happen. I'm not always successful.

I have been SO OCD about rounding my numbers. Last Sat. I ran 13.11 and recorded as such and now I feel liberating to not worry about it. I think it will be kinda fun to see if the numbers eventually round themselves up!

WOW, your friend Merry is FAST! I'm 54 and run twice as slow as her! NICE to have fun fast friends to run with!

I am glad it is not just me about the numbers ... usually I just live in blissful ignorance since I don't have a garmin.

Smooth, you do not run twice as slow as her ... and you are going to OWN some boston hills on Monday! Rock on grandma.

I can't believe there are people faster than you, Bonnie.

Also, I'm fine with not-round numbers. I always put down whatever my garmin says.
