5K: 21:26 (2005)

4 mile: 28:10 (2005)

10K: 43:33 (2010)

10 mile: 1:13:35 (2009) (1:12:15 split in 1/2 marathon, 2011)

1/2 marathon: 1:34:31 (2011)

marathon: 3:19:15 (2013)

Short-Term Running Goals:

3:20 marathon - Eugene Marathon, April 28, 2013 (can I say I really want a sub 3:20? but I will be happy with 3:20-3:23) -- whoohoo!

Some good intermediate races 15K - 1/2 marathon, to gauge my fitness level (done this, hit a 1:34:35 1/2 marathon in March 2013, on a hilly course)

Going after my 10 mile PR in Fall 2013

Maybe some good 10K races after the infernal Arizona summer is over!

Long-Term Running Goals:

I want to be one of those runners who is still running in their 80s (or 90s?).  You know the ones, who look all grisley and fit?  That is what I would like!  Until then, I just want to work hard and be as fast as I can, for as long as I can.

Nice run around the UC Davis Arboretum - it was a 3.5 mile loop, I ran 3 loops and added on 15 mins to the Research Park area.  Pretty hot, but after Tampa and Jeremy Ranch Road it seemed a lot easier!  Nice to run at 52ft above sea level (there was a sign ;-) ).

Our flight was overbooked yesterday so we got bumped to a later flight -- and did not get to our motel until 2AM (3AM Salt Lake time) - woke up at 8AM ... we have to register for the conference and I still have 9 slides to prepare before the opening mixer tonight!!  I spent 4 hours yesterday trying to convert some figures into postscript so I can put them in my presentation (I use a package called LaTex and I need postscript figures) .. ouch, and it is frustrating!!

Happy Sunday bloggers.

Good luck Bonnie on getting things done with such little sleep.

Great job on the run, Bonnie! I'm impressed how you always run, no matter where you are. I have trouble finding appropriate places to run when I travel. It doesn't help that I get lost very easily.

Thanks Josse, I will be glad when I can take a nap tomorrow afternoon (unless there is a talk I just can't miss then)!

I am directionally challeged too Maria, once in Australia I went out for a 4 miles run and ended up with nearly 9 miles! I spend way too much time on the internet mapping out various runs before I travel (I always have two or three choices printed out before I leave town) -- Dean is also really good at finding places, we have run on school tracks many of times, when there is nowhere else to run. Most college campus/college towns have good places though!
