5K: 21:26 (2005)

4 mile: 28:10 (2005)

10K: 43:33 (2010)

10 mile: 1:13:35 (2009) (1:12:15 split in 1/2 marathon, 2011)

1/2 marathon: 1:34:31 (2011)

marathon: 3:19:15 (2013)

Short-Term Running Goals:

3:20 marathon - Eugene Marathon, April 28, 2013 (can I say I really want a sub 3:20? but I will be happy with 3:20-3:23) -- whoohoo!

Some good intermediate races 15K - 1/2 marathon, to gauge my fitness level (done this, hit a 1:34:35 1/2 marathon in March 2013, on a hilly course)

Going after my 10 mile PR in Fall 2013

Maybe some good 10K races after the infernal Arizona summer is over!

Long-Term Running Goals:

I want to be one of those runners who is still running in their 80s (or 90s?).  You know the ones, who look all grisley and fit?  That is what I would like!  Until then, I just want to work hard and be as fast as I can, for as long as I can.

AM: (11.5, 1:36:38). 32:47wu+strides/29:50cd. 6 x 800 @ 5K effort w/400 recovery.

3:22, 3:22, 3:24, 3:23, 3:22, 3:24 (2:29 average recovery).  Better than two weeks ago, average was very similar (1 sec faster) but these were much more consistent.  Not any easier though.  I almost didn't do this workout there were some very fast people on the track and I was embarrassed to be out there going so slow ... but I just sucked it up and tried to stay out of their way.  I mean these people were fast -- there was a young woman (wearing an Auburn track and field jersey) running 47 sec 350s and a guy (her boyfriend) running 1/4s.

Pretty tired today, couldn't sleep last night because I was worried about all things I lost from work ... I have a lot to do and I really don't know how I am going to finish it all.

PM: 4 miles easy.

Happy Tuesday bloggers.

I am conflicted.  I think the person who stole my stuff is listing my phone on Craigslist and I am sorely tempted to try to get it (and maybe my work???) back.  But, I am also afraid to do that ... but they keep listing the phone every day.  It is a rare phone (google nexus one) and I really believe it is my phone ... I could catch them too, because I have the charger and all the accessories.   errrrrrr ... what to do?

Call the cops and tell them about your suspicion.

Maybe I should tell them to meet me somewhere to make the exchange. They'll give me the phone and I'll give them a punch between the eyes.

Oh, and you need to avg. 37.2 miles a day to hit your 3000 on the year.

I agree with Burt... well on letting the police know anyway. I would not attempt the 37+ miles/day. Thats just me being a wuss though.

CALL THE COPS!!!!!

Man, what a pain in the butt.

Awesome workout, though!

I called the cops last week, they haven't called back yet to take my statement ... Our state is in so much trouble financially, they don't have the manpower to care about piddely things like this ...

Burt - I had given up my 3000 miles this year once I got injured, I am satisfied just being running at all ;-)

thank you for offering to be my go-between, I could not, in good conscience (mainly because of Victoria and your awesome kids) let you do it ... though maybe if I tell them that you are my friend, and take your "after PX90" pictures they will be terrified even with the threat ... although if they ever get a hold of the "hasselhoff" picture they might not be quite a nervous ;-)

That is interesting...my husband says they should get right on that, especially if you know where it is. Dang $$$$. My brother is a Phoenix cop, but he is here in Utah for a few more days so that is not much help!

Maybe it is worth just buying it back? That sounds awful, and then they win, but then your headache is gone!

One of my friends had her folding bicycle stolen from London and then saw it listed for sale on ebay, she worked with the police and ended up putting in an offer for it, won the auction and with the help of the police went to meet the guy to arrange to buy it (with police in background obv.). They caught him and she got her bike back too! She actually got two bikes since it was insured and she already got a replacement. I think she put in a nominal offer to the insurance company tp buy the original one.
