9:00AM 65F sunny and humid. Track speed work. Went to Duke's track to do 5 X 800m repeats. My intervals were 3:20, 3:20, 3:19, 3:22, 3:23. So it's quite good but a little bit slower than I was hoping for. I didn't have what it take to do 5 X 3:15 today. An easy run tomorrow, rest on Saturday and then a long run on Sunday.

Nice track workout. If you haven't done any speed work in a while it might take some time to get the legs used to the faster running. One good thing to do to transition into faster running is to do about 8 x 20 sec strides at the end of an easy run. This will get the legs used to the turn over and recruit the faster muscle fibers into action. Good luck on the long run this weekend.
