Went to see W tonight and despite how my family and others felt I was glad I did. Not because I'm Bush basher but because I am fascinated with the office of President and the men who hold that office. I have to say that despite the clownlike attributes that were imposed by director Oliver Stone, I walked out of the theatre with a healthy dose of humility and respect for the man. Why? Because I could see that he was an imperfect man living in an imperfect world. We expect so much out of our leaders, much more than we expect of ourselves I believe. There is so much that happens behind the world scene that we know very little about, and so much garbage that is fed to us by an agenda driven media. We cannot know merely by what we see and hear from them. This why for me I will choose a candidate this year not only on the basis of issues but also by the prompting and guidance of the Holy Ghost. By no other way can I feel secure in the choice and judgement concerning our future leaders. Dark Horse out.... |
