Wow! Wish my HR could stay that low!! Nice mileage- Any thoughts to help me out?

Mike-Thanks man.. Sorry i haven't dropped by your blog lately. How is running in Alabama lately?

Jeff-I have a secret... My max is pretty low however.. About 165-170bpm I believe. But I also believe I am a bit more fit now especially for this time of year. As for tips? Stay away from really fast short intervals this time of year. They have a tendency to bring the runner to a quick peak and then burn you out just as fast. Once every two weeks is ok though. Just my humble two schillings, take it or leave it. What is your max heart rate by the way?

From jefferey on Wed, Jan 28, 2009 at 16:19:32

Airman- My max is a little over 180 I think. I maxed out at 180 today just doing 5 600's. I have actually been taking it pretty easy since my marathon in Sept. This is only my second week of speedwork.

How much recovery between those reps?

From jefferey on Wed, Jan 28, 2009 at 16:43:43

2 minutes of recovery and a small part in the middle of it was walking.

Darkhorse... The Alabama weather has been better, more like normal. Its a little hard to decide what to wear running from day to day.
