Progessive run with 1 mile easy between efforts. Quick warmup and then 4 miles at 80-85 % mhr, 3 miles at 85-90% mhr. One mile at 85%-90% mhr and then the last two at 95-98% mhr. Last mile at 5/min/mile pace. Thought I was going to fall off and pass out at the end!! Indoor track for MP miles and then treadmill at 1% incline for the last two efforts. I like this workout because it makes the body and mind tough for the last stages of a race. Not to mention also that it is a big fitness booster, although it does take a few days to really recover from it.. Darkhorse out.. |
