Upped the mileage a bit today because I want to see if my legs are truly recovered or not.  Nope, not quite yet.  Started feeling deadleg syndrome at 9 miles with no power in the legs very much at all.   And the strange thing I have noticed about my runs lately is that when I stop for a few minutes to talk to someone, or go into Deseret industries to look for something I come back out with my legs feeling much stronger and fresher than when I started.    Is this a circulation issue?  Blood sugar coming back to normal?  Or is it just a byproduct of a overtired body and a recent marathon?    Some days when I get up I feel like I was rolled up tighter than a elastic band and hit by a truck.  Only later in the day do I feel even marginally better.

Soooo.. the plan is to keep with the slower miles for a while to see if this is merely overtraining or something else like age.  I don't know really but I do know this I am definitely not ready mentally to retire with all the other burnout cases yet.   I still want to race like a twenty something dang it.   No.. scratch that.   I want to eat one for breakfast in another race sometime.

  Just kidding :)   Kind of..

Yeah, me too. By the way I liked your quip about the grasshoppers and suicide by bike method. That caught me off guard this morning, needed that.
