I just got thrown a curve ball today with my health and it came on suddenly for some reason.  I even went on my run as soon as I got away from work to see if it would clear up with some exercise and improved circulation.  Not happening.    You see I have a case of bad ringing and hearing loss in my right ear and it's making me crazy with anxiety.  Even to the point of not sleeping well last night because of it.  I dread the idea of seeing a doctor because of the cost.  No insurance..  Long story.

Anybody have any personal experience with this?   Ear infection? No pain though.  I'm stumped as to what is happening.  Anyway, 5 easy miles today at 7-8/min mile.

Steve,

I talked to my wife about your ear problem and she said that it sounds like you have an inner ear infection, or a build up of wax and you should go to the doctor. Sorry i do not have any better news, please let me know what the doctor says.

Steve, hopefully it is nothing serious and will clear up soon with some medication.

That can be scary - my father woke up one morning when he was in his 30's totally deaf in his one ear and they never figured out the reason. Keeping my fingers crossed for you that it is a simple resolution.

Barry-I am having it looked into. Your wife sounds right also about that one perhaps. Did you have fun in Vegas?

Maurine- Serious? That only makes me more nervous. Especially the tinnitis.

My ex husband had tinnintus for years -but that was partly related to hereditary hearing loss he was suffering. Has it improved at all since Saturday? Did you by any chance get hit on the head by one of your kids or something?

I googled sudden onset tinnitus and got the following: In many cases the cause of tinnitus cannot be determined. There are many potential catalysts that are known to trigger or worsen tinnitus The accumulation of earwax, exposure to loud sounds, head or neck injuries, problems with blood circulation, jaw misalignment, ear or sinus infections certain types of tumors, cardiovascular disease, and even certain medications can trigger tinnitus.

My sister is an RN and is coming over this afternoon - I will see if she can think of anything.
