AM-Had our first group session coaching today at the oval. You should start seeing some new blogs popping up as I encouraged everyone to keep record. We were originally going to do a ladder session but ran out of time. However we still managed to get in a good workout complete with speed changes. After everyone left I proceeded to finish the full workout listed as follows; 2x400m, 800m, 1000m, 1000m, plateauing in effort and now coming down the ladder with an 800m, 400m and a quick 200m finished with a kick at the end. All done with complete rest. As the season progresses and everybody gets better I will start to cut the rest down little by little at 5k goal pace. Everyone did great and it was a pleasure to meet you all and I know we are going to do really well this year.

PM-6 miles easy pace. No time just easy jogging.

PM-2-Hmm-Got into a duel with some friends about who could run the fatsest mile. Being Irish and such AS WELL AS GERMAN I had to oblige.  The results were not pretty to say the least.  More too follow later.

Steve, I'm so glad the coaching is coming together for you. It sounds like things are moving along.

I'm also VERY curious about the mile challenge. Has it been run or when is it going to be run. Sometime this summer I want to make a go at a 4:45 mile. If Haile can average it for 26 I sure better be able to run one!
