AM-Easy 10 miles.  Ft Union/13th east.  Snowy again.. The funny part is that it cleared up on my last mile coming home.  Oh well..  The whole time I saw so many people in cars dressed up for conference it got to my head a little.  Does this make me a sinner?  Do I really honor the Lord the way I ought to by running on Sunday?  I hear so many different opinions including those from my own church that it's hard to really know.  For those of you who really know me I think you know why I run on Sunday..  However, that being said I take my shoes off with still another uneasy feeling on another Sabbath:(

PM-Easy 5 miles easy on the mill at home.

If you are comfortable with running on Sunday then it really doesn't matter what other people are thinking or doing. All I have to say about your Sunday run is . . . nice miles and good workout. I'm sure I've sinned more today than you have and I'm still in my PJs.

LOL! Thanks Jun. I know:)

You know that I've sinned more than you today? Are you stalking me or is it just a safe assumption?

Ha. Kidding. I know its a safe assumption. Ha.

Conference was on one of the TVs at the gym today. I found that rather ironic. I can't see any reason why the sessions wouldn't be just as impactful if you watched them digitally after a run. Why else would the church stream the videos? Besides, Sunday mornings are a prime time for training and it's less dangerous due to the reduced traffic. This is coming from a non mormon so please take this with a grain of salt. Nice run today!

Thanks Fritz. I am going to do just that after my boys go to bed and all is finally quiet. And also get my TV back:)

Hey Steve, I'll wade in on this topic...

I believe the commandment is "honor the Sabbath and keep it holy". So, running on the Sabbath is only wrong if you find something dishonorable and unholy about running.

From steve ash on Sun, Apr 03, 2011 at 23:48:52 from 76.23.2.151

I respect that point. The big dilemma for me is the "rest" part about keeping it other than that yes.. I just hope I didn't open a can of worms.. Is it too late to delete? LOL!

I just checked it out - Exodus chapter 20 not only commands us to rest on the Sabbath, but it also commands us to labor for six days. So, if we take a full weekend off we are sinning as well
