Nice work out man! Is the recovery lap a 400?

Mike-It's like 450 meters or so. The track was designed around an ice oval for the 2002 Olympics. I'ts a nice soft surface without the sharp bends. They have markings for 100, 200, 400 and 1000 meters. I don't know why more people don't run on it except for the fact it's on the outskirts of Salt Lake City. Favorite track of mine though..

LOVE the oval, but I don't get out there too often during the summer. Lots of HS tracks closer. In the winter there is NO better place in the state to run!! I think it's about 3.3 or 3.25 laps to a mile, right?

Nice work on those speed laps! Those are some awfully quick paces, plus another quick 6 on the JRP. AWESOME work!!!

No, It's more like 3.6 and that's still coming up a few meters short. But that is if you are running on the inside lane which is approximately 442 meters. Kinda tricky if you don't pay close attention. Being the case I jog 2 minutes going from 100 to 100 meter mark until roughly 2 min is up. I get precise on the reps but as far as total distance goes I don't get overly obsessed about it.

I'm surprised you know the distance, I always ask people and get different answers :)

I'm the same on the oval...not too worried about exact distance.

It'll just make obsessive compulsive about things I think.. Besides if I'm always counting and concentrating on laps and distance then it kills the joy in even being there don't you think?
