| This is billed as the toughest 15K in the SE, and those hills are killers.
This is one I've contined to to since moving here.
Particularly because it is part of the BTC Race Series and partly because it runs from the Vulcan Statue to the Liberty Statue in my neighborhood.
The weahter was perfect, just below 50F when I showed up and probably still below 60F for the finish. One of the coolest days all week so that was a blessing.
Just took it nice and easy, felt good the whole way. Still being cautious after last years "Great Slack of 2016" but am well on my way with already tieing the number of 40+ mile weeks of a miserable 3, but still in the right direction. Compared to 2012 when I didn't have a single week under 30... and 37 over 40.
Did a two mile warm-up and then not much noteworthy about the race, passed most people in the first three and the next 6 we all stayed in place.
