Single: Did not do the run I had initially planned. When I woke up (tried to) I was too tired for it. I did get out the door anyway and just started running. The first two miles have a substantial climb and I kept them easy. A little into it I decided I wouldn't completely scrap the workout and do 4x4mile as follows. First, 9+; Second, 8-9, Third 7-8, Fourth 6-7. The weather behaved itself and though it was in the upper 40s it felt great because the rain stayed in the clouds. Saw a few other runners and a bunch of cyclists as I headed to Old Mill Golf Course and back. Legs were pretty tired and even the 6:30 pace for the last four miles felt tough. However this was my highest mileage week since the week of March 10th so that was understandable. Mi 16-T1 Avg.  8:01

81 miles with only 32 hours of sleep- nice work. I really like how your first set of 4 miles was 9+ pace :)

From Adam RW on Sat, Jun 07, 2008 at 16:24:10

My bad with the sleep. I just started sleep tracking on the counter this week and missed two days. I like your explaination of trail running. It is fun and if you can't enjoy the fun part of running it becomes something else. However, I do have to admit that I turn down playing soccer and basketball lately for fear of injuries...

From Jon on Sat, Jun 07, 2008 at 16:26:59

I play frisbee at every opportunity I get (which isn't much recently). Even when I don't run due to injury (stress fracture, etc), I still play frisbee! No one ever said I was smart...

The only time I don't is the last week or two before a big marathon.

You should join me for some of my trail races this year- I'm doing Logan Peak Run on June 28, then Jupiter Steeplechase (in Park City) on Aug 9 and Mid Mountain marathon (PC) on Sept 6. Lots of fun, and it would be great to have someone to run with (esp on the Logan peak run).

From Adam RW on Sat, Jun 07, 2008 at 16:35:05

I'll look into the first two. It depends how much WBR beats me up for Logan...

From Adam RW on Sat, Jun 07, 2008 at 16:35:39

And I fixed the sleep. I had 45hrs this week...

From jtshad on Sat, Jun 07, 2008 at 16:47:35

Nice mileage this week. I have to check my email when I get back to work to see details on WBR, but now starting to get jazzed. I will be in touch with info.

Have a great weekend.

Nice week of running. Looking forward to seeing you in a couple of weeks.

From Superfly on Sun, Jun 08, 2008 at 00:19:11

Good job this week Adam. I'm pumped for our van at WBR. Everyone needs to bring their "A" game and I'm not talking about running...

From wheakory on Sun, Jun 08, 2008 at 01:48:06

Nice week of miles Adam. Your peaking just the right time. Good long run today and getting in a good hill too. Both of us somehow need to engage in more sleep. I think your body will be prepare to sustain the higher miles now, because it's getting use to it. Very good consistent pace for the last 4 miles. What's your mileage plan for next week? I need to get myself in bed..

From Adam RW on Sun, Jun 08, 2008 at 21:25:03

Kory, I hope you managed to get some sleep. I second your notion about more sleep. However, the only way I'm going to be able to do that is if I cut something out and right now I'm not willing to do it.

Clyde, "A" game it is by the shifting may continue and I may get scooted to the other van again...
