Work stress continues to wreck havoc on my mind. However, it is just a matter of remembering baby steps are steps none-the-less. My sleep was also interrupted a number of times last night after a few peaceful nights so that added to the fun. Into work early and had my stuff set-up and I was out the door. To keep things moving in the right direction I planned to run up Dry Creek and kept to plan. It makes it hard to do anything but easy miles when running up (UP!) a dirt/rock trail. I know Jon could make it into a hard run but I’m still learning that skill. My way up I was averaging about 11s and on the way back about 9s. Avg. 10:12 (Just a little slower than yesterday, :)) HR 135

Running up trails makes it hard by itself, esp. if you base it off heart rate. I will do whole trail runs averaging 9-10 mph.

ahhh Adam, I miss that run!

Good job. Deep breaths on the work stress. It is so hard to "leave it" - the good thing about academics is the relative flexibility in schedule, the bad thing is that it means you are never really "off".

Hope the work stress subsides. Great mileage this month.

Hang in there...sleeping any better yet?

Jon, By HR I was slacking today too. But as is my style, keep it slow most of the training.

Bonnie, I'll try and keep my hands clean and enjoy your weekend.

Jeff, I'm happy with my progress and pre getting back to it planned out my mileage for the rest of the year. Two purposes of that. One time commitments and two I want to get out of this injury cycle and I'm going to keep with the turtle pace mile increases and just accept that I won't be on the top of the mileage board until next year. But then watch out :)...

Jeff, Didn't really answer your questions. Sleep is still hit or miss but the better nights are more frequent. Work stress. Well that is the career path I chose and the personality I am so I just deal and enjoy complaining about it (though I secretly thrive on it)...
