Single: About the same as yesterday. Did get 8-hrs sleep, still not 100% with the breathing, the crud in the air is not helping any. It is crazy how windy it was today. The wind was finally out of the south which could be nice for the second half of the marathon, but I’m thinking I would just prefer no wind! I ran to the course and did MM 2-~4.5, then ran into Bill Cobler and a few of his “boys”. They were doing 10 on the course so I jumped in with them and ran MM 6-~9.5. It was good catching up with Bill and talking strategies for Saturday, he is a good resource for this course (all UT for that matter…). We had a good talk and then I turned around on my own to get home without adding on additional miles to my planned 10. Mi 10-T1 Avg. 7:05 HR 152

Get feeling better - nothing is going to hold you back Saturday!

It's too bad that Devine can't get their head on straight. I would really like SL to become a good solid marathon.

Hopefully it's a little warmer for you today!

Dave, I'm bummed about that as well. I really like to give people a second or even third chance. I'm still holding my judgement until after the race and how the $ recipients are treated but I would have like some sort of confirmation about our status and race day details. My wife said just wait until Friday when you actually do packet pickup and go from there. Steve Kerr had been very gracious and responsive in my previous e-mails with him so I think he is trying...

Today is actually colder. But hopefully it will warm up. The good news is that most of the smog got knocked out of the air and I can actually see accross the valley today...
