Personal:

I was a single mom.  Two times over.  We all survived, despite the fact that I make atrocious decisions.  Then, I met a man I didn't deserve.  And he loves me so much.  And I love him. We lived in sin and bought a house for two years then hired a judge and officially got married(to our great delight and also the delight of our mothers), then a month later he was diagnosed with cancer.  Well we survived all that and he's 100% fine now.  But, we're really out of shape and really busy with kids and jobs and running just isn't my priority and there's so many other layers to all of it, but I'm running anyway.  This is my failure blog now.  Just to log that one run a week if I snag it.
Somehow that matters and I want that run recorded.

8:13 AP.  Worked another night shift, slept 3 hours, had some coffee and a little cereal, and left for my run.  I woke up when it was over and I was walking into the house.  I'm guessing it was a decent run....

I have had some night runs like that. They end up being progressive runs because you are half asleep for the first have. Nice job getting out.

I have never heard of sleep running, nice concept if you can pull it off.

hey, how many night shifts are you going to be doing? be careful they can zap you from Zapping.

Chad--lol progressive they are, my opening miles could have been walked faster. Flatlander--it's become a regular thing for me @ Julie--I have no choice. We are in a position now where childcare is just unaffordable and I need to be home more with the kids. I've been itching to go back to EMS anyway, and if I'm going to work nights it is much easier to work them in EMS then as a nurse. I'm doing EMS part time, home health part time, so I can kinda set my own schedule right now. At least with EMS there is some downtime built in--between calls, paperwork done, post and unit cleaned...nothing to do until another call comes out. Nurses work harder. :)

sorry : ( I just don't want you to get too run down. But if you get some good down time that would work out great. I was just thinking during my heat sim. run thursday "how come I feel so good?" I answered myself of course "duh, you are running in the heat WITH a normal sleep pattern and not after working all night, sleeping 3 hours and then trying to run. I am finally feeling normal. You know what I mean. Hope you get some good Zzzzz tonight ; D.

Sleep running sounds like a very efficient use of time, maybe you can teach me that technique.
