Personal:

I was a single mom.  Two times over.  We all survived, despite the fact that I make atrocious decisions.  Then, I met a man I didn't deserve.  And he loves me so much.  And I love him. We lived in sin and bought a house for two years then hired a judge and officially got married(to our great delight and also the delight of our mothers), then a month later he was diagnosed with cancer.  Well we survived all that and he's 100% fine now.  But, we're really out of shape and really busy with kids and jobs and running just isn't my priority and there's so many other layers to all of it, but I'm running anyway.  This is my failure blog now.  Just to log that one run a week if I snag it.
Somehow that matters and I want that run recorded.

I can run awhile with a cold but I bonk sooner if I try to run a race with one. I think the main effect is it makes the core body temperature go up faster, so long-distance endurance isn't as good. Anyway, good tempo miles.

rest, rest, rest & after that, some more rest !

Isn't it interesting how running kind of eases a cold up? Well, as long as you can handle the phlegm running down your throat!

You are running speedy! Run that cold right out of your system.

I watched the weather this morning and i am a bit freaked out. I know we still have TIME, but the weather forecast up through Monday is all above average. However, only by a few degrees! WE WILL BE FINE!!!!!

From seeaprilrun on Tue, Sep 20, 2011 at 19:24:21 from 68.103.248.97

What is average!? How hot are we talking?! I can hang with humidity, rain, freezing cold, whatever, but please oh please don't be hot! I have usually done fine running through colds so I'll keep it up with this one unless I really start to need rest bad.

Echoing the others - rest and take care of yourself, it is almost here!

The highs for this week are mid 90, lows in the 60's. But we start up higher, so if we are at the avg temperature, it will be in the 40's to start. I talked with some St George residents, and they say it all feels pretty normal to them right now. HERE is to hoping! I get freaked easily, do not worry about me!

From SlowJoe on Wed, Sep 21, 2011 at 10:22:31 from 132.3.53.68

Woah, nice finish. Hopefully the cool start at the top will keep your body temperature low and it won't have time to get too high at the end if it is warmer at the bottom. I have no idea if that makes any sense, probably not.
