Personal:

I was a single mom.  Two times over.  We all survived, despite the fact that I make atrocious decisions.  Then, I met a man I didn't deserve.  And he loves me so much.  And I love him. We lived in sin and bought a house for two years then hired a judge and officially got married(to our great delight and also the delight of our mothers), then a month later he was diagnosed with cancer.  Well we survived all that and he's 100% fine now.  But, we're really out of shape and really busy with kids and jobs and running just isn't my priority and there's so many other layers to all of it, but I'm running anyway.  This is my failure blog now.  Just to log that one run a week if I snag it.
Somehow that matters and I want that run recorded.

68 degrees.  90% humidity.  Very Houston marathonish.  Ran 6 miles at 8:25 pace on the dirt then came in and walked 2 miles in 30 minutes on the treadmill at 12% incline.  The walk was sadistically more difficult than the run.

I'm afraid of the incline on the treadmill. I'm lucky I never encounter hills.

Hey, my family and I are driving out west in about a month. I'm trying to figure out a way that we can bring out route close to you. Right now it looks like we're headed through Salina, KS at the closest spot to you. That's pretty far, though. I don't know if it would work out, but maybe I can meet you somewhere in between. I think I'll be there on June 17. Will you be around then?

I don't see much of hills around here, but with summer Psycho Wyco coming up at Lake Wyandotte, the hills are there. I signed up for this 50K in the beginning of July before I knew I was going to be out injured for a while. I still plan to run it though, with adjusted expectations. It would be cool to meet! I sent you a private message.

Sounds like some good trail race training!

I hate when walking stinks more than running!
