Short-Term Running Goals:
Run enough to hold off the middle-age spread
Long-Term Running Goals:
Sub 3 hour marathon--SOMEDAY! Done!
New long term goal: ....run enough to feel kinda like I did when I was fit
Personal:
I was a single mom. Two times over. We all survived, despite the fact that I make atrocious decisions. Then, I met a man I didn't deserve. And he loves me so much. And I love him. We lived in sin and bought a house for two years then hired a judge and officially got married(to our great delight and also the delight of our mothers), then a month later he was diagnosed with cancer. Well we survived all that and he's 100% fine now. But, we're really out of shape and really busy with kids and jobs and running just isn't my priority and there's so many other layers to all of it, but I'm running anyway. This is my failure blog now. Just to log that one run a week if I snag it.
Somehow that matters and I want that run recorded.
10 miles easy with Leann and Angela, no watch, probably around 9:00 pace. Last 4 fast 6:12, 6:31, 6:25, 6:26. Felt good although I still have a cold and can't breath through my nose.
My bib for SGM is 5114. One week!!! taper time starts now

Awesome finish, you will really do well next week...I am looking forward to hearing about it. Can we track your bib number online or anything?

YOU ARE READY!!!!! Excited to meet you and be there when you get that sub 3. Well, I will be there about 10-15 minutes later, but there in spirit! Seriously, save me some ice cream. In fact, meet me at the finish line with a diet coke and I will love you forever. ;o)

I missed the bib number on there!!! I am 5081, up from 5136 last year. Last year I put a predicted finish time of 3:15 and this year I put 3:08---to match last year. Let's hope I can do that! Someone said it is not straight by what you predict as your finish time, they also factor your previous marathon times??? Who knows, all I know is it gets me the special potties and fire (assuming it is actually cold this year!) PLUS, we all get to hang out together.
