Nice cool morning run. Still running conservative mileage. I've been about 15-20 miles per week short for the past few weeks. Calf pain stayed consistent throughout the run. This is a good sign. Last week, the pain became unbearble at about mile 11. I noticed at one point during the run that if I turned my right foot inward a little, the pain subsided. I am splay footed so my foot was actually landing more straight. If nothing else, this injury has helped me fix a few flaws in my form. Ran the last 2 miles a little faster than marathon pace and it felt really good. |
