Very nice morning so I wanted to get out for a little exploratory run.  I wanted to check out where the BST starts near the Eaglewood golf course and what the run was like.  The run started easy enough but then started to climb a little more than I expected.  Once I got up to the radio towers the run was more like what I expected.  Turned on to the single track trail and had a few ups followed by a few downs.  Eventually ended up on the top of some hill that overlooked the entire Salt Lake valley.  It was a pretty cool view.  I was able to see the entire run that Huans, Fly and I did a couple of weeks ago from a bird's eye view.  I can't believe how far we actually ran.  Hung out on top of the hill for a little way then made my way back to the car.

BST? Does that stand for Bonneville Shoreline Trail? I'm not certain where Eaglewood golf course is but I think I ran that trail. Isn't that the trail above the Hogle Zoo? I thought it was great but steep in sections (both ups and downs). It's always fun to run in new places. At least I think it is.

Sounds like you had a GREAT run. Glad to see that you might be enjoying yourself a bit. Have a great Sunday Andy.

BST = Bonneville Shoreline Trail. It goes from Idaho to Santaquin but the most popular section seems to be between City Creek and the zoo. Eaglewood golf course is in on the mountain side in North Salt Lake.

I am trying to find someplace to attempt some pull ups today so that I can be entered in the contest. Maybe I will have to take the kids to the park and attempt it on the monkey bars. I just hate to give my kids the opportunity to make fun of me.

Andy...

Yes, it's is always nice finding new runs. I'm totally bored with running around the neighborhood around here. I wish I lived closer to some trails.

Sounds like a challenging trail with a nice view of the valley for reward. Gotta enjoy it while the weather's still good.

So Andy, did you go to the park and check out your pullup skills on the monkey bars? What did your kids think? Did they laugh or were they mesmorized? Can't wait to hear.
