This week will be reduced mileage as I prepare for TOU.  Ran to the Legacy Parkway Trail to test it out for the first time (legally).  The road to the trailhead is a little to busy to run on and there is no sidewalk so I may start driving there even though it is only a couple of miles away.  I think that I will use the trail a lot because it is a lot safer than running on the roads.  I felt like I was pushing the pace but I only averaged 7:20/mile which was a little discouraging.  I wasn't really killing myself but it did feel faster than 7:20.  On the way home I tripped over something and almost did a header into an oncoming bus.

Looks like you found the Garmin. Nice run. I hate dealing with traffic in the early morning darkness. I don't blame you for wanting to avoid it all together.

Nice run Andy --

No more tripping!!! :) (Atleast not until after TOU and SGM!!)

Isn't that Parkway trail great? I access it from the Farmington side, about a mile from my house.

Your discouraging 7:20 pace is over a minute faster than my target goal for a marathon next year. Good run.

Cody, Paul, and I have all finished reading Once a Runner. Great, great book. Now we were trying to figure out if you wanted it back, wanted it to be passed around other bloggers, or wanted to give it as a donation to the Logan chapter of the Blog. What do you want?

From Andy on Mon, Sep 15, 2008 at 14:09:32

Jon - Maybe we should see if any other bloggers want to read it.

Do you want me to put a note on the discussion forum and pass it to anyone willing to read it and pass it along?

From Andy on Tue, Sep 16, 2008 at 16:26:18

Maybe it would be the easiest if you posted it since you have the book. If you would rather hold onto it and make it part of the LFRB library that is fine too.
