Scheduled called for a 7 mile recovery run but I knew that would be too much strain on the achilles so I shortened it to 4.  Should have taken the day completely off.  It was pretty sore to start and got progressively worse.  Still runnable but more sore than I would have liked it to be.  It did feel good to have the legs moving.

Oh I was hoping the days off you make you all better. At least you didn't try to push though all 7.

Awesome run yesterday!!! And yes, you should have taken today completely off!!! :)

I used to dread my cross-training days. It just wasn't running. But now I really love them. True, I do believe the more miles you run the faster runner you will be, BUT, I feel that I am overall in better shape than I have ever been. I give crosstraining all of the credit. (I know what you mean about running being so convenient though.)

So ... how is your achilles feeling this evening? We had an injured runner in the clinic on Wednesday -- achilles!!!! I sat in with the therapist so I could watch what kind of soft-tissue stuff they did and ask questions. I am no PT, but I could mimic some of the stuff the therapist did. :) If you want to venture over Sunday I would be happy to try. Just an idea.

It's a little tender but not bad. Tomorrow is only 15 with 12 at marathon pace. I think with the lower miles tomorrow and Sunday off it should continue to improve. Yes, I realize how silly that sounds but I feel as though I am on the upswing.

Just PLEASE be careful. PLEASE!!!!

Seriously though ... if you have pain tomorrow come on over on Sunday and we will try to work some of it out. Really. You are more than welcome to bring your kids as I'm sure my kids would love that.

Andy, Don't you love our very own PT-in-training?! I'd take advantage of it! Hope your run goes well tomorrow.

SSF! You are SO SO SO SO SO nice and caring! That's what I LOVE about you! :)

That is very nice of you to offer but I really think that I am alright. I'm just being a big baby.
