My shoes were still wet from yesterday so I rummaged through the closet to find a retired pair. I quickly realized why they were retired.  There was no cushioning left in them at all.  In addition to the dead shoes, the back of my heal was rubbed raw by my racing flats on Saturday and it was pretty painful.  All things pointed to a short recovery run today.  So I stumbled through 5 painful miles and all I have to show for it are sore legs and a bloody sock.  Hopefully everything will feel better tomorrow.

I am certain that everything will be much much better tomorrow. The shoes will be dry in time for another soggy run...but your legs will be fresh! :)

I was thinking the same thing as Paul, "OUCH!!!"

So ... Friday at noon, right? :)

Its not a good run unless blood is involved right? Really ouch is the first word I thought of too.

Dang dude. That does sound like it really wasn't a fun run.
