Had to force myself out the door but felt really good during the run. The first mile was slow but I eventually got down to 7:00/mile and held that for the last 5 miles. I used a metronome to see what 180 steps per minute felt like for 1 mile. I typically run 165-170. It was definitely more of a strain on my hamstrings and lungs but it felt good. I think I will try to do this more often to improve my stride rate. |
