Day 2 at Firehouse Fitness.  I felt less out of place but still struggled through the exercises.  8 cycles of the usual variety spending 6 minutes in each cycle.  I was encouraged that some of the things that I struggled with on Monday were not as hard today (the dumbell jumping jacks and dumbell punches).  Had a real hard time with burpees and the crab crawl.  One of the cycles was a 6 minute run that I was excited for.  Finally, something that I knew how to do. Unfortunately, it was the second to last cycle and I was exhausted and could only maintain 7:30/mile pace.  If nothing else, I am getting used to the feeling of pusuhing myself outside of the comfort range.  After running for a long time, I have gotten used to the feeling and never really pushed myself out of the comfort range.

What did you do? Cycles of punching a dumb bell? You've more motivation than I. Keep at it and I would guess it will all get easier.

Did you see this article?

I recognize that section of of the Legacy Parkway Trail with the crashed SUV on it. Glad no one was running or biking on it when the thing came to rest.

That's the problem I need to solve, Andy. It no problem for me to stay in that steady state for 2 hours at a time, but I don't want to really push for much more than 30 seconds. We need to get together for weekly tempos or intervals on Thursday or Wednesday mornings. It could be a Legacy tradition. That said, I'm glad I wasn't trying to run 6:30 miles in a southerly direction today. It was very windy.

Nice work Andy! I don't think I'd last 2 seconds...

Love the new picture!

Fly - I saw the news story but didn't realize that the car ended up on the trail.

Kam - Tempo Thursday sounds like a good idea. I may need some time to get in good enough shape to keep up with you.

Rachelle - I like the picture because it shows our different pacing styles (the taskmaster and the cheerleader).
