Personal:

I am originally from Knoxville, TN and moved to SLC with Jake in 2010. I started racing in 2011 and had some great success before a major injury hit me in July 2012. I had athletic pubalgia surgery in May 2013...then again in Sept 2014 and am still trying to get back to my old self. Although running is my true passion, I love doing pretty much anything active outdoors - backcountry skiing, backpacking, biking, etc.

I've been running for the Saucony Team since 2011. I enjoy representing the brand and really do believe they make the best shoes :)

I work as a Quality Engineer for BD Medical in Sandy.

AM - JAFA Run 7.4 miles, mostly talking about the Olympic hopefuls and standards...which has now gotten me interested in what the Oly A and B standard rules are now. Felt really good today and glad to catch up with at least two of the usual  crew.

Anyone interested in TCBY Waffle Cone Wednesday tonight in Sugarhouse at 7pm? Jake and I were planning to go....will be fun!!

This is the summary. It used to be A LOT more complicated. Basically, if you have the "A" standard and you finish top-3 at the trials, you're in. Its gets complicated if you have a "B" athlete in the top 3, but "A" people behind them. Thankfully they got rid of chasing times after the trials. That made it even more complicated...

--------------------

USA Track & Field (“USATF”) may enter up to three (3) athletes for each individual event on the athletics program, provided they have achieved the Olympic “A” standard. In addition USA Track & Field may enter one (1) replacement athlete for the same individual event provided he/she has also achieved the Olympic “A” standard.

Only if there are no Olympic “A” standard athletes in an individual event, USA Track & Field may enter one (1) athlete for each individual event on the athletics program, provided he/she has achieved the Olympic “B” standard. In addition, USA Track & Field may enter one (1) replacement athlete for the same event provided he/she has also achieved at least the Olympic “B” standard.

yeah so like if Hall pulled out of the marathon, USATF could name Ritz to the team

This almost makes me want to drive to SLC tonight. I'll go to pretty great lengths for a good waffle cone. :)
