Personal:

I am originally from Knoxville, TN and moved to SLC with Jake in 2010. I started racing in 2011 and had some great success before a major injury hit me in July 2012. I had athletic pubalgia surgery in May 2013...then again in Sept 2014 and am still trying to get back to my old self. Although running is my true passion, I love doing pretty much anything active outdoors - backcountry skiing, backpacking, biking, etc.

I've been running for the Saucony Team since 2011. I enjoy representing the brand and really do believe they make the best shoes :)

I work as a Quality Engineer for BD Medical in Sandy.

AM - Injury problems were bad today. I had another ASTYM session last night, and I am so bruised and painfully sore from it. No running again today, instead Jake and I went on 3 walks throughout the day for about 4.5 miles.

Sounds very painful. Nice walking, I keep checking your blog hoping things will improve soon for you.

Ughhh it's never ending. I'm getting so frustrated - 4 months and counting...I'm probably going to take this week off from any lower body exercises and just see how big I can get my neck with upper body weight training :)

Haha I would recommend lots of dumbbell shrugs and military presses. Jump on Jake's pullup bar too that'll definitely help :)

they actually make really cute dresses for women with large necks, so that should help with the search.

sorry about the setback. :( i'll join you for a walk any time.

It sounds like you'll need a jumper soon. See Allie, not James about that.

It's great to take the Jake out for a walk.

You need to try crossfit! :-)

When you're healthy again and training hard, you'll think back to these months and you'll use them to drive you on. You'll also know/understand your body much better and the experience will be priceless. It'll happen - hang tough.
