Personal:

I am originally from Knoxville, TN and moved to SLC with Jake in 2010. I started racing in 2011 and had some great success before a major injury hit me in July 2012. I had athletic pubalgia surgery in May 2013...then again in Sept 2014 and am still trying to get back to my old self. Although running is my true passion, I love doing pretty much anything active outdoors - backcountry skiing, backpacking, biking, etc.

I've been running for the Saucony Team since 2011. I enjoy representing the brand and really do believe they make the best shoes :)

I work as a Quality Engineer for BD Medical in Sandy.

AM - 5.5 miles easy around the streets of Sao Paulo.

Apparently Thursday night is the best night to go out in Sao Paulo, so my coworker and I went to this really cool rooftop bar at a place called Unique Hotel. It was quite entertaining trying to understand Portuguese and communicate with people - fun times. Stayed out a little too late though and only got 4.5 hours of sleep :o( Hopefully I can stay awake today!

Is that a hot tub or pool on the roof?

And does this mean you are now a night owl and will be staying up past 830pm, or are you going to need to catch up on sleep when you get back and start going to bed at 7? :-)

PS - its light outside here now until well past 8pm already

Nicely done Andrea! My hubby and I are in the caribbean and the humidity is killing me during my runs. You're one tough cookie to log so many miles in the sweat bubble!

Awesome pictures!! Good job at getting up and running after such little sleep.

Wow Sao Paulo has a lot of large buildings in the background. I bet that view was really cool last night.
