Personal:

I am originally from Knoxville, TN and moved to SLC with Jake in 2010. I started racing in 2011 and had some great success before a major injury hit me in July 2012. I had athletic pubalgia surgery in May 2013...then again in Sept 2014 and am still trying to get back to my old self. Although running is my true passion, I love doing pretty much anything active outdoors - backcountry skiing, backpacking, biking, etc.

I've been running for the Saucony Team since 2011. I enjoy representing the brand and really do believe they make the best shoes :)

I work as a Quality Engineer for BD Medical in Sandy.

AM - 4 miles around the neighborhood. There's only a half mile stretch that is even close to flat so I've been going back and forth on it every day. Ran the last two in 7:10, 7:07 - I hope I don't regret that later but it felt so good to run a little faster.

Wow...back in the 7's! That's great to see.

Great stuff, Andrea, stick at it. It's amazing that you can drop in a couple of low 7's after so long without being able to run. Testament to your dedication, dilegence and discipline during (no more d's) your injury - an inspiration.

Seems like for some injuries, the faster you run the better, maybe this is one of those. Good run, and good week - 25 miles!

Thanks everyone...not feeling bad yet! I've got a long way to go, but if I can just run 4 miles every day for a while I'll be pretty happy! I really don't feel too out of shape, which is surprising based on my lack of running for months.
