Personal:

I am originally from Knoxville, TN and moved to SLC with Jake in 2010. I started racing in 2011 and had some great success before a major injury hit me in July 2012. I had athletic pubalgia surgery in May 2013...then again in Sept 2014 and am still trying to get back to my old self. Although running is my true passion, I love doing pretty much anything active outdoors - backcountry skiing, backpacking, biking, etc.

I've been running for the Saucony Team since 2011. I enjoy representing the brand and really do believe they make the best shoes :)

I work as a Quality Engineer for BD Medical in Sandy.

AM - 4.1 miles. Jake tried to kill me by having us run up the Albion Basin Rd up at Alta. That's a tough uphill when you're completely out of running shape! Afterward, we relaxed in the hot tub for a while then had some fun at Oktoberfest. Had quite a bit of hip pain/hamstring pain but felt better after lots of icing. I wonder if I pulled my hamstring and it is showing up as referred pain in the hip? Just another idea...

PM - Rollerblading for 5.5 miles with Jake then chocolate dipping party!

Abby spent all last night dipping stuff - strawberries, peanuts, bananas, nilla wafers in chocolate.

She needs to be hanging out with you guys in the evenings.

Ahhhh nilla wafers would have been a good idea! Time to melt another bag of chocolate! :-)

Fun day all around! I'm jealous of the dipping party.

Sorry to hear the hip injury is still a mystery. I know you've probably tried just about everything. I feel your frustrations because my wife has had a string of injuries that have been long healing times - C-section, knee surgery, sinus surgery, and now a hamstring injury + a broken wrist to boot!
