Personal:

I am originally from Knoxville, TN and moved to SLC with Jake in 2010. I started racing in 2011 and had some great success before a major injury hit me in July 2012. I had athletic pubalgia surgery in May 2013...then again in Sept 2014 and am still trying to get back to my old self. Although running is my true passion, I love doing pretty much anything active outdoors - backcountry skiing, backpacking, biking, etc.

I've been running for the Saucony Team since 2011. I enjoy representing the brand and really do believe they make the best shoes :)

I work as a Quality Engineer for BD Medical in Sandy.

AM - 10 miles in Knoxille...miss the rolling hills! It was super nice - 40 degrees and sunny in the morning. I held up pretty good, hamstring didn't hurt. 7:40 pace.

Merry Christmas Andrea! Glad your hammy is feeling better! Hey, have you ever run th Knoxville Half? It is April 1, I am thinking about doing it as a 2 week tuneup to Boston.

Merry Christmas to you too! I have run the Knoxville Half before, and it's a pretty rolling hills course. Definitely not a PR course but it would be a great tune-up for Boston! I would guess that it is more difficult than the last half of Boston. The course profile is at this site - http://www.knoxvillemarathon.com/Participant_Info/raceinfo/halfmarathon.htm

Thanks Andrea ... one of my best friends from Atlanta moved there last fall & he is wanting me to come visit. I figure 2 weeks before my big race, I am not looking for a PR ... would be thrilled with 13 miles at 6:50 pace ... which is my stretch pace for Boston. I lived in Knoxville 40 years ago ... went to Cedar Bluff Elementary & my Dad was Head of Webb Middle School. I am trying to get my son to run his first half with me there ... it sounds really cool finishing in Neyland stadium! He says he'll do it ... but time will tell if he will put in some long runs ... 14 year olds say they will do anything, but there are lots of things he would rather do than run! :)
