Personal:

I am originally from Knoxville, TN and moved to SLC with Jake in 2010. I started racing in 2011 and had some great success before a major injury hit me in July 2012. I had athletic pubalgia surgery in May 2013...then again in Sept 2014 and am still trying to get back to my old self. Although running is my true passion, I love doing pretty much anything active outdoors - backcountry skiing, backpacking, biking, etc.

I've been running for the Saucony Team since 2011. I enjoy representing the brand and really do believe they make the best shoes :)

I work as a Quality Engineer for BD Medical in Sandy.

Yesterday was probably the least active I have been since I have moved to Utah over a year and a half ago. I feel sooo lazy. This morning I stuck with strenghening exercises again for 30 minutes. Core strength and arms during lunch.

Because I'm the only one at work that doesn't have a family with 3+ kids, I have been put in charge of entertaining a girl from Brazil that is visiting for the next two weeks. She is super sweet which helps a lot! #1 priority is that she is shopping for a wedding dress (b/c it costs $1000 just to rent a dress in Brazil!) so I am serving as stand-in mom. Besides that, I have nothing exciting to do! If anyone has fun suggestions for evening activities, let me know. We'll probably take her sledding/snowshoeing this weekend because she's never seen snow before. Maybe I could get her to run in the SLC 5k this weekend too? :o)

1 day of non-"pedal to the metal" activity in 18 months... I think you might survive!

Although if the roles were reversed, I'd probably be having a cow.

sorry about here about the lazy day. On the bright side, now you can relate better to about 90% of the population.

Evening activity ideas: Discovery Kids at the Gateway, ice skating, Jump Around Utah....I will let you know more if/when I have kids.

How old is the girl from Brazil? That would change some of my recommendations. I'm assuming she is old enough to use that wedding dress?

She is 28. I guess I should've said "woman" but I always feel so weird saying that!

You still up for some pool fun or will you be busy entertaining :)

hmmmm maybe you could take her up to Park City and chase after all of the stars. :)

A lazy day every once in a while is good :) I don't know good evening activities, maybe take her to Cafe Rio it's one of my favorites :)

Lulu - I thought that others were going to be helping with going out to dinner and entertaining in the evenings, but it doesn't seem to be that way. I'm planning to ask around tomorrow and have "the night off" to workout and do other things...so I can let you know tomorrow. So don't change your plans!

I know nothing about evening activites, except sitting in my office at work, wishing I was at home and sitting in my recliner. :)

I do like the idea of taking her to Park City to stalk celebrities.

Hope you found something fun to do with your visitor.

I also hope your foot is alright. Good thing it's winter and off season. There is time to get better for sure. You are strong. Take it easy and things will come back.
