Personal:

I am originally from Knoxville, TN and moved to SLC with Jake in 2010. I started racing in 2011 and had some great success before a major injury hit me in July 2012. I had athletic pubalgia surgery in May 2013...then again in Sept 2014 and am still trying to get back to my old self. Although running is my true passion, I love doing pretty much anything active outdoors - backcountry skiing, backpacking, biking, etc.

I've been running for the Saucony Team since 2011. I enjoy representing the brand and really do believe they make the best shoes :)

I work as a Quality Engineer for BD Medical in Sandy.

AM - Was planning to do 10 miler then saw it was pouring and went back to bed. Will do it this afternoon instead.

PM - 10 miles around Millcreek. Turned out to be a nice fall evening run. 8 min pace.

Video of Jake at the track yesterday doing his workout. Did it in slow motion so we could look at form. He is a perfect midfoot striker and looks so smooth, even when running at sub-5 min pace. The song just makes me laugh :)

1. Awesome videography.

2. Loved the halloween themed outfit.

3. Sweet form.

4. That song was supposed to be ironic, right? You two are some of the non-laziest people I know.

5. Smart move not running in the rain. I'm still a bit chilled from my workout this morning.

6. Who were the spectators in the stadium?

I willing to bet that every single one of those football players wished they were as fast as you.

Also, they probably thought you were silly as you ran by in your spandex running shorts. All the while they are smacking each other on the ass.

Their pants are just as tight!!!

I think the Highland football guys have respect for us now... they've seen us out there usually twice a week all season... and after I yelled at them to clear lane 1 a few times earlier in the fall, they actually do a pretty good job of getting out of our way. They don't want me to lower a shoulder and take one of them out! :-)

hmmm...I think I need a total body transformation into a Jandrea!! honestly I don't think I stood in the right line before coming down to earth!!! I really feel I asked for a runner's body!!! AT least my spirit is willing!! seriously love the form!!! : D and the MUSIC.

I agree, good song choice.

He totally has that beautiful elite form going on. How cool to to the running videos. I watched yours too--you look super relaxed and smooth.

Melody - song is definitely ironic! Although I am very lazy after hard workouts :) Spectators? Probably just Jake-wannabes. One guy came up to me and said "Wow that guy is holding a fast pace. I barely kept up for a 200". Me too!

Jun - the football players were doing running drills; I wish I would've videotaped that too!

Julie C - Video is a great way to get feedback on your form. Although my guess is that yours is pretty good. You've definitely had plenty of practice!

April - thanks. I'm trying to look like Shalane Flanagan when I run , with the long socks and all :)

That video was awesome, that is what I feel like I look like when I run. I'm probably so far off of that mark that it's not even funny, but I can still close my eyes and see a long braid on the back of that head and pretend it's me :)

Nice workout, I'm sure those football players are in awe! Oh, and I love the long-legged shadow of the video taper :)
