Personal:

I am originally from Knoxville, TN and moved to SLC with Jake in 2010. I started racing in 2011 and had some great success before a major injury hit me in July 2012. I had athletic pubalgia surgery in May 2013...then again in Sept 2014 and am still trying to get back to my old self. Although running is my true passion, I love doing pretty much anything active outdoors - backcountry skiing, backpacking, biking, etc.

I've been running for the Saucony Team since 2011. I enjoy representing the brand and really do believe they make the best shoes :)

I work as a Quality Engineer for BD Medical in Sandy.

AM - Ran on the trails around Lake Geneva again, this time going the other way. There was one part where the trail was heavily wooded and I freaked myself out a little that someone was following me. This is why I hate running by myself! Other than that, a beautiful run. Managed 8:20 pace this morning.

Here are a lot of the houses I've been running by on the lake. The trail is between the houses and the lake - MANSIONS!

PM - 4.5 miles easy. Legs coming back slowly.

Luckily they never would have been able to catch you!

Yesterday when I was running my 9 min/mile pace, there was an old lady that I passed that said "Wow you are fast"! It made me laugh - at least I looked fast :o)

Now you know how it feels to run at my pace. :) Is it pretty there?

Looks like a beautiful run!! Glad the legs are coming back. I always hate the post race legs.

I think this was your highest mileage month of the year... and you ran 4 races too! No wonder you've been a little tired the last couple days :-)

From Andrea on Wed, Aug 31, 2011 at 23:13:49 from 64.134.166.232

Highest mileage EVER this month by 15 miles!

From Hamdog Alum on Wed, Aug 31, 2011 at 23:32:09 from 68.185.190.140

Congrats! Heck of a month for you!

The echoes in those heavily wooded locals can really play a number on you. I've felt the same way. You and Jake amaze me how quickly you can rebound from your races with mileage...
