Personal:

I am originally from Knoxville, TN and moved to SLC with Jake in 2010. I started racing in 2011 and had some great success before a major injury hit me in July 2012. I had athletic pubalgia surgery in May 2013...then again in Sept 2014 and am still trying to get back to my old self. Although running is my true passion, I love doing pretty much anything active outdoors - backcountry skiing, backpacking, biking, etc.

I've been running for the Saucony Team since 2011. I enjoy representing the brand and really do believe they make the best shoes :)

I work as a Quality Engineer for BD Medical in Sandy.

AM - Quick 3.1 miles around the block. Going to do a few more this afternoon with some strides.

I'm so glad my company does Half Day Fridays in the summer...probably the biggest perk of the job! Jake and I are heading down south to stay with Rachelle this evening and then the Lavender race tomorrow.

PM - 6.1 miles in the Dimple Dell gully with Devra. That run is never easy but we had fun catching up.

(IF the weather isn't bad) Sunday mid-morning Jake and I are planning a shortened Bullion Divide hike - from Cecret Lake to Sugarloaf, Baldy, Hidden Peak, and finally AF Twin Peaks....then head back to the Snowbird Tram and take that down. It's about 3500 ft of uphill and 6-7 miles of hiking. Best part is not having to beat up the legs on downhill! Let Jake or me know if you want to join!!

I am really jealous of your job right now. Basically everyone is checked out by 12pm (or 10:45am in my case) on Fridays anyway so not much work is accomplished.

There is a hot tub in my clubhouse if you guys want to bring your suits.

You seriously have half day Fridays?!? That is about the coolest thing I have ever heard! Have fun at the race tomorrow. Be sure to stop and smell the lavender :)

Oh man, that all sounds really fun. Perhaps we will join you guys for stuff like that when we are both in much better shape. We're getting there!

Looks like there is Jousting tournament down there too. We will need pictures of that. Have fun!

The best part of the hike/run will actually be the knife edge from Hidden to AF Twins. :) What time are you planning on going?

From Jake K on Fri, Jul 13, 2012 at 15:42:34 from 155.100.226.54

That's what I've been telling her, Scott. Its a fun little scramble.

I'm not sure what time we'll go - it will depend on how tomorrow goes and the weather. Sometime in the morning since it looks like PM t-storms are now in the cards.
