Personal:

I am originally from Knoxville, TN and moved to SLC with Jake in 2010. I started racing in 2011 and had some great success before a major injury hit me in July 2012. I had athletic pubalgia surgery in May 2013...then again in Sept 2014 and am still trying to get back to my old self. Although running is my true passion, I love doing pretty much anything active outdoors - backcountry skiing, backpacking, biking, etc.

I've been running for the Saucony Team since 2011. I enjoy representing the brand and really do believe they make the best shoes :)

I work as a Quality Engineer for BD Medical in Sandy.

AM - Met up with Emily Bates, Fritz, Rob Murphy, and Jake at JRP. It was very cold this morning! I didn't warm up my back and hamstring properly for the cold temperatures (thought I had beaten this injury!) so when the pace crept down into the low 6:40s I could feel my hamstring pulling. Bummer. So I had to be the weakest link and ask to go slower :o(. I made it to 11 miles then decided to call it a day. Anyway, still a fun run with the group! Average 7:10 with a slow first mile.

Riding in the car today Abby asked when you and Jake would be coming over for dinner again and would you be bringing desert.

how was the movie? so want to go to it. Work the weekend though. Hope the hamstring heals up quick. In this cold weather it is very important to run at least two miles easy before jumping it at your usual.

Julie - lots of great Tom Cruise sprinting scenes, as you would expect from a mission impossible movie! It was actually pretty entertaining and a lot better than most 4th installments of a movie franchise are!

Good run -- that's quite a group if you were the "weakest link!"
