Personal:

I am originally from Knoxville, TN and moved to SLC with Jake in 2010. I started racing in 2011 and had some great success before a major injury hit me in July 2012. I had athletic pubalgia surgery in May 2013...then again in Sept 2014 and am still trying to get back to my old self. Although running is my true passion, I love doing pretty much anything active outdoors - backcountry skiing, backpacking, biking, etc.

I've been running for the Saucony Team since 2011. I enjoy representing the brand and really do believe they make the best shoes :)

I work as a Quality Engineer for BD Medical in Sandy.

AM - Met Devra for a run in her neck of the woods. She lives in the Sandy area, and it is hilly! We ran a loop to the base of Little Cottonwood Canyon and back to her place. I have no idea of the pace but I doubt it was very fast. I am pathetically sore from yesterday's hiking adventure + wearing high heels at Jake's work Christmas party on Saturday night. I haven't worn heels in about three years and remembered why! I felt like I was going to tear a tendon at any point, not to mention my shins hurt. So just wondering, does anyone wear heels often? It seems like it would be a difficult thing to do when training hard...

This is Jake and I all dressed up at the party - I wore my homecoming dress from sophomore year of high school!

What a great looking couple!

I really don't wear heels anymore, I have a couple pairs of "rockport fancy shoes", but just can't do it anymore. I am too old to care ;-). I guess if I absolutely had to, I would look for a cool pair of wedge-type shoes.

The pictures of Mt. Olympus are so stunning!!! You, and Jake, live a charmed life!!

... too bad you are so boring ;-) (playing on Jake's discussion of young family members)

You guys look great all dressed up. :) You are absolutely goregous Andrea!! And yes I wear heels almost everyday. I am afraid of revealing my true height and still working on inventing high heeled running shoes. :D

yes, it can get hilly out there in Sandy, but the hills are good for us. HEELS, not so much :) I'm the opposite of Rachelle, being 6 feet tall, I rarely wear heels - kind of pointless. Especially with a husband who is shorter than I am anyway.

Bonnie - thanks!

Rachelle - you wear heels every day? I guess you just get used to them!

RAD - Being tall definitely diminishes the need for heels! Jake is about 1 inch taller than me...he was on his toes when the picture was made :)

Great looking pair!! I NEVER wear heels. My sister in law does almost everyday-- the REALLY high ones that LOOK painful. Don't get why her calves don't suffer. She just started running so it will be interesting to see how her legs hold up there.

WOW, what a great looking couple you two make! You need to both be on the cover of some fitness magazine!

And, you must be VERY young if your dress from sophomore year is that cute! Mine would scare people.

This is kind of late to be adding to the thread but I couldn't resist. I almost never wear heels either. I feel really awkward and I'm afraid I'm going to trip and fall. You look gorgeous!
