Personal:

I am originally from Knoxville, TN and moved to SLC with Jake in 2010. I started racing in 2011 and had some great success before a major injury hit me in July 2012. I had athletic pubalgia surgery in May 2013...then again in Sept 2014 and am still trying to get back to my old self. Although running is my true passion, I love doing pretty much anything active outdoors - backcountry skiing, backpacking, biking, etc.

I've been running for the Saucony Team since 2011. I enjoy representing the brand and really do believe they make the best shoes :)

I work as a Quality Engineer for BD Medical in Sandy.

AM - JAJA Run at a nice casual pace. James and I are both slightly pathetic so we mostly talked about injuries and epic (or as James thinks "inspirational", I call them stubborn) stories of going for a run when injured and then having to walk for hours back from being hurt. I was actually the only one without a good story...but I feel like that's a good thing! Although I did wake up in the middle of the night with terrible back pain (I didn't even run yesterday, which is why I don't think not running will cure it) and had to take more pain medicine, so I don't think I'm doing that much better!

PM - Bootcamp class with Emily Jameson. Fun times, only 3 of us so it was like having a personal trainer! Lot of lunges and push-ups though - going to be sore.

So we were thinking about doing the Saturday run up north this weekend...anyone interested?

Like in Canada? I'm in.

I have a good story, but it would be to long and people would get bored and stop reading it.

I hope you can get over your back issues soon and that the Doc can help identify and relieve what is ailing you.

Thanks Jeff, me too!

Rob - you'll have to tell it next time we run...I hope it ends it crying and balling, because those are pretty much how all of these ended (mostly James stories haha).

Just lots of blood!

Ugh. My si joint just needed time.... and time off. It was rotated and they popped it back in like 4 times. back issues are the worst!

Lily - I would not be surprised if that was exactly what is going on with mine, something is just out of alignment..

all james stories end with crying. even the happy ones.

From Jake K on Wed, Jan 18, 2012 at 12:25:04 from 155.100.226.54

I cry everytime I split from the group on these runs because I just miss you all so much on the rest of my run up to work

From allie on Wed, Jan 18, 2012 at 12:27:53 from 97.117.82.156

that's really sad. i always thought you were crying because we get to run downhill back to sugarhouse while you have a giant climb to huntsman.

From Jake K on Wed, Jan 18, 2012 at 12:36:38 from 155.100.226.54

From RAD on Wed, Jan 18, 2012 at 16:42:49 from 98.202.23.178

yes, I want to run! Doesn't matter where...or with who, I just want to run :) Okay, maybe I'll bring my bike and pace y'all -ha! Who's got the upper hand now?!?

Sorry to hear about that back, take care of it -whether that means running or not is best determined by you!

From DaleG on Wed, Jan 18, 2012 at 21:35:49 from 152.216.11.5

Sorry about your back pain.

How far up north are you talking for the run on Saturday? I live near Ogden, so I might be interested. Although, I wouldn't be running very far.

From Adam RW on Wed, Jan 18, 2012 at 22:59:56 from 155.101.144.2

I think I'll still be recovering from the last group run :)
