Personal:

I am originally from Knoxville, TN and moved to SLC with Jake in 2010. I started racing in 2011 and had some great success before a major injury hit me in July 2012. I had athletic pubalgia surgery in May 2013...then again in Sept 2014 and am still trying to get back to my old self. Although running is my true passion, I love doing pretty much anything active outdoors - backcountry skiing, backpacking, biking, etc.

I've been running for the Saucony Team since 2011. I enjoy representing the brand and really do believe they make the best shoes :)

I work as a Quality Engineer for BD Medical in Sandy.

AM - I was going to do spin class this morning, but it's so hard to say no to running when I'll have a buddy. Met up with Devra for a hilly run, 8.6 miles at 7:40 pace. SOOO COOLLLDDD! I'm finally starting to get warm after a hot shower and now with my down jacket, scarf, heat pack on my back, personal heater on in my office, and coffee.

PM - Boot camp class 30 min. Planks, lunges, jump rope, mountain climbers, pushups, arms, etc.

What is coffee? Isn't that the brown, hot, gross version of Diet Dew?

From Jake K on Thu, Jan 12, 2012 at 11:54:45 from 155.100.226.54

You definitely ran faster than me this morning!

Well, I should probably call my "coffee" more "hot milk with a hint of coffee"...and mine is more of a cream/light brown color.

Running buddies are the best!

I agree that it is hard to turn down a run when you have a running buddy. Nice work!

It is seriously freezing out today. brrrr!

i'm glad to see everyone else felt just as cold this morning. i thought i suddenly became a cold wuss because i was not enjoying my run at all. i was cold the entire time. i'm still cold after scorching my skin in the shower and driving to work with my super heater set on full blast the entire time (i'm sure you know about the power of jeep heaters).

From Jake K on Thu, Jan 12, 2012 at 14:02:01 from 155.100.226.54

allie - your jeep has a heater? mine takes 20 minutes to kick into gear :-)

From Andrea on Thu, Jan 12, 2012 at 14:03:21 from 72.37.244.100

I do know about jeep heaters. That is why you always see me and Jake in MY car in the winter!

From allie on Thu, Jan 12, 2012 at 14:10:18 from 161.38.218.168

well, not to brag, but my a/c works even better than the heater. this is why james and i have such fond memories of traveling to provo in traffic in the middle of june.

That's awesome you have hooked up with Devra to run with. She looked strong saturday at the Half marathon in PG.
