Personal:

I am originally from Knoxville, TN and moved to SLC with Jake in 2010. I started racing in 2011 and had some great success before a major injury hit me in July 2012. I had athletic pubalgia surgery in May 2013...then again in Sept 2014 and am still trying to get back to my old self. Although running is my true passion, I love doing pretty much anything active outdoors - backcountry skiing, backpacking, biking, etc.

I've been running for the Saucony Team since 2011. I enjoy representing the brand and really do believe they make the best shoes :)

I work as a Quality Engineer for BD Medical in Sandy.

AM - Horsepark loop 4.4 miles. I must've needed a recovery run b/c my average pace was 8:30! Felt good to go slower and not worry about pace.

Looks like it's another SNOW winter!! I just hope it waits to snow until after the trials.

PM - 5.6 miles easy, no watch.

Although if we really do get a La Nina again, that means things are gonna get nuts in about 8 weeks.

dun dun dun...LA NINA! i don't like it, but i'll embrace is as much as possible with snowshoe running.

nice job this morning -- it's good to run a nice slow pace when your body needs the recovery. i'm certain that some mornings i start out my run with a 10 minute mile, and i don't ever speed up too much after that. this is where ditching the watch comes in handy. :)

thanks for the warning!! I guess I will be alone on the streets of Cedar Hills once again this winter....people know me because they say things like "were you running on in that snowstorm?"...."ah yes I thought that was you".
