Personal:

I am originally from Knoxville, TN and moved to SLC with Jake in 2010. I started racing in 2011 and had some great success before a major injury hit me in July 2012. I had athletic pubalgia surgery in May 2013...then again in Sept 2014 and am still trying to get back to my old self. Although running is my true passion, I love doing pretty much anything active outdoors - backcountry skiing, backpacking, biking, etc.

I've been running for the Saucony Team since 2011. I enjoy representing the brand and really do believe they make the best shoes :)

I work as a Quality Engineer for BD Medical in Sandy.

AM - Headed up to Huntsville to watch the Wildcat Half Marathon. I walked around the course, taking pictures and cheering everyone on (link to pics on Jake's blog). Probably ended up doing about an hour of walking around, then joined MarkP and Jake for their short cooldown. Afterwards and now in quite a bit of pain with my hip. That must've been too much...steroids don't seem to be helping.

PM - Bike ride with Jake, 3 miles.

I like your out of commission picture. Sorry your going through such pain. It's gotta be frustrating. Sounds like your getting some good photography practice in and I'm sure Jake loves all the race photos he doesn't have to buy! Hang in there.

Sorry about the pain and that the steroids aren't helping, that stinks!!

So sorry about your leg and that the steroids aren't working. It was great meeting you officially today. Your so cute. Im sending good vibes your way that the steroids will kick in and take it all away.

Great photos today and thanks for driving! Stick with it a little longer before making another change.

So sorry to hear about the pain Andrea. Why is it that somtimes walking is harder on our bodies than running? I have found that when I walk a lot (especially with tall friends) I am even more sore than when I run!
