Personal:

I am originally from Knoxville, TN and moved to SLC with Jake in 2010. I started racing in 2011 and had some great success before a major injury hit me in July 2012. I had athletic pubalgia surgery in May 2013...then again in Sept 2014 and am still trying to get back to my old self. Although running is my true passion, I love doing pretty much anything active outdoors - backcountry skiing, backpacking, biking, etc.

I've been running for the Saucony Team since 2011. I enjoy representing the brand and really do believe they make the best shoes :)

I work as a Quality Engineer for BD Medical in Sandy.

AM - Good to be back running with JAJAF crew this morning. I felt a little tight this morning from the workout yesterday afternoon, but we still ran a solid 7:25 pace. Nice talking to the group and trying to catch the "racing vibe" from them because I need more motivation to race and they need LESS! I think I'm going to set everyone's marathon limit this year to 4 (and mine to 0!).

Started yoga up again and got a friend to work on my back for a few minutes - wow, what a difference. My back feels so much better already.

Another blog post of Brazil - Final weekend in Rio de Janeiro (Day 1 of 2)

Sounds like a fun morning. You better do at least 1 marathon Andrea. St. George?

From Jake K on Wed, Apr 04, 2012 at 09:34:12 from 155.100.226.54

we're leaning towards heading up north for a fall marathon if you catch my drift, Rachelle... coughTopofUtahcough.

Jake you really suck at keeping secrets. :)

btw Andrea - what time does your 5k start in Boston on Sunday? I want to try and come watch.

jake is not allowed to run SLC. james is not allowed to run provo. you should consider TOU... :)

so glad you are back! and so glad you are feeling good again. you'll catch the racing bug at striders and then there's no stopping you for the rest of the season.

i forgot to ask you this morning...how did you like brazilian food?

You're an amazing runner, you'll kill whatever races you decide to do!! I love racing most of the time, but sometimes it just takes the fun out of running.

Thanks for sharing the blog post and pictures from Brazil! It really is beautiful!!

Love the blog post and I think these guys are all crazy in their racing plans :) okay, so I run probably as many, but I don't race them all. I dink around and just have a good time. People like you that can actually run and win have a harder time letting a race 'pass you by' - so be smart with them. TOU is a good race though! Just ask Allie, I think she did it a few years back :)

Love reading your posts and oogling over the beautiful pictures. Thanks for sharing! Always good stuff here including all the fun comments! :)

Andrea you are coming back strong! If you hang out with that crew too much you'll get sucked into the marathon bug. I swear every year I'm "done" (I prefer the half), but I convince myself I can get a new PR and well, look where I am now... TOU would be a great marathon for you.

From Fritz on Wed, Apr 04, 2012 at 22:12:54 from 67.182.226.25

I am on a fiscal year that ends May 30. And thanks for not including 50ks in the 4 per year limit.

Glad to see you are feeling better and putting in some good miles.
