Personal:

I am originally from Knoxville, TN and moved to SLC with Jake in 2010. I started racing in 2011 and had some great success before a major injury hit me in July 2012. I had athletic pubalgia surgery in May 2013...then again in Sept 2014 and am still trying to get back to my old self. Although running is my true passion, I love doing pretty much anything active outdoors - backcountry skiing, backpacking, biking, etc. 

I've been running for the Saucony Team since 2011. I enjoy representing the brand and really do believe they make the best shoes :)

I work as a Quality Engineer for BD Medical in Sandy.

AM - Easy 6 miles to Sugarhouse and back. 

PM - 6 x 200 average 39.4 seconds. I haven't run this fast in a while, but my hamstring felt great. My legs are much more used to marathon pace, that's for sure!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! This is one of those days where it would be fun to have a little kid to take trick or treating :)

Its says in Runners World that you are supposed to CANDYload on Halloween. Its the secret to taking 5 minutes off your 5K time on only 5 miles per week!

i did that last year, but i was on the 3 miles/week plan. my 5k time didn't improve, but i started sweating frosting.

You can borrow one of mine any time. Is it shameless to admit that when I only had 1 kid and he was 17 months old I took him so I could eat the candy?
