Personal:

I am originally from Knoxville, TN and moved to SLC with Jake in 2010. I started racing in 2011 and had some great success before a major injury hit me in July 2012. I had athletic pubalgia surgery in May 2013...then again in Sept 2014 and am still trying to get back to my old self. Although running is my true passion, I love doing pretty much anything active outdoors - backcountry skiing, backpacking, biking, etc.

I've been running for the Saucony Team since 2011. I enjoy representing the brand and really do believe they make the best shoes :)

I work as a Quality Engineer for BD Medical in Sandy.

AM - 27 minutes on the elliptical. Got my heart rate to stay around the 150 range without pain anywhere, so I think I'll be doing more elliptical for a while until I can get all this injury stuff under control. The 6-miler yesterday proved to be a little too much so I'm going to keep the runs to about 30 minutes.

Today is my parents' 20th wedding anniversary!

PM - Blading for 3.5 miles with Jake.

Step-mom and dad :) Do good children give gifts on their parents' wedding anniversaries? B/c I never have but...am I supposed to?

You already gave them the gift of being the greatest daughter in the world!

My heart rate actually sky rockets on the elliptical because I am in terrible "elliptical shape" I guess. haha

I agree with Jake! Just call them.

elliptical is good. sorry the run didn't prove helpful.

as for a gift -- i think you have to throw some kind of party on the 50th and/or 75th, but until then, a "happy anniversary" from the best daughter in the world is probably sufficient. :)

Maybe you have a hibernating Heinie!

Ok, you just made me feel really old. It's our 20th anniversary on the 19th of this month.

I'm glad you were able to do the elliptical without any pain.

Sorry the run felt like a set-back. I think you are safe with a phone call; I don't expect anything from my kids on my anniversary.

Hi rollerblader, congrats to your parents! Enjoy the cross training, I know it sucks but is the necessary evil.
