Today was just a long run. We ran up 9th south to Foothill, over to Sunnyside, up to the Shoreline trailhead, and ran along there to Red Butte. We ran up the road to the fence, back down the road, through the housing area at the U to Legacy Bridge, down through West Hyper by the Huntsman center, past the institute building, down 5th south to Guardsmin, over to 8th south, across Amanda Ave, and down 9th south to the teacher parking lot. We stayed as a group up until we got to the trailhead, where I became weak and the soreness kicked in. I ran up the trail and when I reached the part where there were no more bad uphills, Sarah Sa caught up to me and we ran together. The construction is finally finished, so we didn't have to run down to the road and back up around the construction, we could just run threw the new path and we saw a brand new drinking fountain and it was nice because the water was freezing cold. When we started running up the road behind the Red Butte amphitheater, we saw Natalie and our chemistry student teacher, I can't remember his name. Just before the yellow gate we saw Bill, and shortly after we saw the rest of the boys. We stretched at the fence for a minute before turning around. It was downhill from there so I felt like an 8 minute pace would be good. I just didn't want Sarah to get lost. We ran through the housing area, but I'm not exactly sure what wrong way we went, but somehow we came out on the road above the frisbee golf course and the bridge was to our left quite a ways, plus we had to run around construction. We ran across the bridge and down, then the construction made me upset. We had to go up by the trax station and then down through the West Hyper parking lot just east of the Huntsman center. I started to pick up my pace because I was to the point where I felt really sick and worn out that I just wanted to be done. We got down to Guardsmin and then down 8th south on Amanda Ave, down 9th south to the light. I barely made it and Sarah barely missed it. It was a good run to get over with, I'm not sure why it had to hurt so bad but now that I'm all curled up in my sweats with my Halloween Lofthouse cookies I feel better. Naptime!
