Personal:

I'm married to Nan Kennard and she kicks my butt at running.  She has beat me handily in every race we have done together except for a downhill mile we did once.  She is my running inspiration.  I'd like to run a marathon with her someday and actually keep up.

Here's my Quest for Kings race report

I had a great time running with facelessghost and trevor the first 10 miles and then was solo from there.  Thanks Jun for organizing a fun day, it was a huge bummer you weren't able to make it, you were missed.

Congrats again. That is a wicked-fast time. I'll get it posted to FKT very soon. Thanks for making the drive out. I'm totally bummed we couldn't hang out.

Congrats on the win and on a very impressive time. You would have to have been to the top of Kings to really appreciate just how fast this is. It was great seeing you guys fly by us. I have a picture of you that I'll get over to you.

We looked for you Friday night, but couldn't find you. We did find a van with CO plates that had a door slightly open. I took a peek in, but didn't see you.

Thanks guys!

Scott, I got a late start driving and didn't arrive to the trailhead until about 1 AM. I was hoping to get there before midnight to see you guys off, but couldn't pull it off. I slept in the back of the car and Eric pulled up behind me right about 8 AM as I was just getting ready to go.

Scott and I were blown away at how fast you guys were moving when we saw you. Congrats on a super impressive time.

Sounds like a fun and challenging run. Taking 10 or 15 minutes off of a marathon time in one year is great. A whole hour! That's got to make you feel good about where your fitness is at and where it's headed. Congrats on a great run and good seeing you at the airport Saturday.
