Since some people have already expressed interest in running the LA Marathon, I though I would put this under a separate topic, and maybe we could put together a list of who is planning on running LA.  I just asked Sasha on his blog if he was thinking about doing this.  Once I get a few replies, I will add a list to this topic and maybe we can use it for carpooling/pacing purposes.

After some thought I decided I would not be going unless somebody offers to cover travel expenses. Which probably will not happen. Same policy for all out of state marathons unless I feel I am ready to break 2:20 in the right prize money race.

Right now I am planning on doing it.  I also think Dave Holt is doing it.  I have also spoken with the wildbull (Bill Campbell) and I'm going to try to talk some of the other guys in St. George into doing it.  I'm planning on probably taking my wife and just having a weekend getaway.  It is 18 weeks away, and I plan on running a few half marathons in between.  Snow Canyon Half (Nov. Cool and Painter's Half (Jan. 17)

I guess another related topic is if anyone is planning on running Relay Del Sol? RDS is two weeks later, so it's probably one or the other. For those who didn't like the old Del Sol course, rumor has it there will be some improvements.

Oh wait... I guess I'm the clown on this one. I won't be doing Del Sol either because Mik'L is due right around that time. Unless... I can talk her into it?

Come on, Clyde, I did WBR only 9 days after my kid came.  Just tell Mik'L she needs to be induced a few days early...  Tongue

Hey if we really put a team together for Del Sol I'll pull every string I can to go. Jon I though you had washed you hands of the "Ragnar racing group"?

Did you see me write anywhere that I was planning to do RDS?  I didn't.  I was merely giving you a hard time about the pregnancy.  I can give you a hard time without participating myself!  Grin

For the record, I still don't plan to do RDS or any other Ragnar Relays this upcoming year.

There used to be a course profile on marathonguide.com, but that appears to be gone.  I created a course in the course tool - not sure if it will work if I link to it here or not (apparently not).  First two miles are uphill, then several fairly gently downhill miles, the rest is pretty flat with a few small rollers.

Thanks, Sasha!  If the course ends up being changed, I will update my existing course for the marathon.
