Tommorrow is the Women's Olympic Marathon Trials. My friend Turena Johnson Lane is running and is ranked 11 going into the race. She is fit and ready. She should definitely be in the top ten and has a shot at a team spot if she has a good day. Her PR is 2:34 at the World Championships in Helsinki. Who are you rooting for?

I'll be rooting for all the ladies from Utah- the local ones for me!

By the way, does anyone know if this is being streamed on the internet like the men's race was?

It was streamed live by NBC. Sorry I didn't see your post. Turena came in 6th and ran a great race (2:34). I am so happy for her since her goal was top 10. She will be someone to continue to watch as she's only 32.

Yeah, I ended up finding the NBC website with about 8 miles left in the race and enjoyed watching the end of it.

You can find the results here: http://www.usatf.org/events/2008/OlympicTrials-Marathon-Women/results.asp

Carre Joyce ran a terrific race, 2:43 for 42nd overall. Many strong performances by Utah runners--check 'em out.
